Berry and Fruity: Premium Ethiopian Coffee

Flavour Intensity is 2 out of 5 and the roast is light.

A Natural coffee origin from Africa, I must say, is delicious as a batch brew. A vibrant cup with sweet bursts of blackberry and pineapple that take center stage, seamlessly transitioning to notes of toffee, plum, and molasses on the finish.
A delicate, crisp white wine acidity, adding to its brightness and balance.

Brewing Recommendations

  • This single-origin coffee is best enjoyed as a pour-over or cold drip to bring out the abundant fruitiness from the beans. Its light roast and high acidity make it ideal for these brewing methods, not recommended to be served with milk.

Suggested coffee making recipes:

Espresso Machine:
Temperature of grouphead water: 94°c
Double basket: 22g
Out: 50g (62ml) - Extraction time: 32sec

Filter Brew:
Ratio: 1:16
Dose: 15g
Water: 250ml
Time: 2.30mins

Only use filtered water, tap water spoils great coffee.

Unlock the Magic of Coffee Processing: A Quick Guide

Why does one coffee taste like bright citrus and another like juicy berries? It's the processing—how cherries become beans after harvest. For our wonderful online shoppers, knowing fully washed (wet), natural (dry), and pulp natural (honey) helps pick perfect flavours. Insights from top brokers like Sucafina show these methods blend tradition with eco-innovations. The coffee cherry has layers: skin, pulp, mucilage, parchment, silver skin, and bean. Processing strips those outer layers to expose the bean inside, infusing unique tastes.Fully Washed: Crisp and Vibrant
Cherries are pulped, fermented in water to remove mucilage, washed, and dried. Modern twists: water-recycling for sustainability. Flavours: Zesty lemons, florals—clean and bright, highlighting origin notes. Why Buy? Great for pour-overs; consistent and subtle. Uses more water but less waste.

 Natural: Bold and Fruity
Whole cherries dry in the sun on beds, raked to prevent over-ferment. Low-water, ideal for dry areas; controlled temps boost quality. Flavours: Explosive berries, tropical fruits, wine-like body from sugar absorption. Why Buy? Espresso or cold brew fans love the intensity. Variable and eco-friendly; try anaerobic versions for big aromatic aromas.

Pulp Natural (Honey): Sweet Balance
Pulped but mucilage left on; dried and turned. Variations like black (more mucilage) for boldness. Precise fermentation adds layers. Flavours: Caramel, honey, fruits with acidity—versatile hybrid.
