At Mahalia Coffee, we believe every coffee bean holds a world of flavors, and the right brewing method can unveil its true potential. Here’s a simple guide to ensure you get the most from our premium specialty coffee, no matter your chosen method.
Domestic Espresso Coffee Machine:
Grind Size: Fine, like table salt.
Water: Use filtered water heated to 92-96°C.
Dose: 18-20g of coffee for a double shot.
Procedure:
Grind your Mahalia Coffee beans.
Tamp evenly to ensure a level surface.
Brew for 25-30 seconds to extract approximately 30-40ml of espresso.
Enjoy as-is or add milk or hot water.
Pour Over and Drip:
Grind Size: Medium, like coarse sand.
Water: Use filtered water, just off the boil.
Dose: 1g of coffee to 15-18g of water.
Procedure:
Place your filter in the dripper and wet it with hot water.
Add Mahalia Coffee grounds to the filter.
Slowly pour water in a circular motion, starting from the center.
Allow coffee to drip through completely before serving.
Plunger (French Press):
Grind Size: Coarse, like breadcrumbs.
Water: Use filtered water, just off the boil.
Dose: 1g of coffee to 15-18g of water.
Procedure:
Add Mahalia Coffee grounds to the plunger.
Pour in the hot water.
Stir gently with a wooden or plastic spoon.
Place the lid on and allow to steep for 4 minutes.
Depress the plunger slowly and serve immediately.
Stovetop (Moka Pot):
Grind Size: Coarse
Water: Use filtered water.
Dose: Fill the filter basket evenly without pressing down.
Procedure:
Fill the bottom chamber with water up to the safety valve.
Place Mahalia Coffee in the filter basket and set it on the bottom chamber.
Screw the top and bottom chambers together.
Place on medium heat.
Coffee will start to emerge from the spout. When the gurgling sound begins, lower the heat.
Remove from heat once coffee production slows down and serve immediately.
Grind Size: Fine, like table salt.
Water: Use filtered water in your machine's reservoir.
Dose: One pod per cup.
Procedure:
Insert the Mahalia Coffee pod into your machine.
Follow your machine's instructions for brewing.
Once brewed, remove the pod and enjoy your coffee.
